Obituary of Elvin George Strand

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elvin George Strand who passed away in Creston, BC at the age of 77 years.

Elvin was born in Olds, AB to parents George and Louise Strand.

Elvin was predeceased by his parents George and Louise, wife Carolyn, brother Don, and sisters Ruth and Ila.

Elvin will be remembered by his loving and faithful wife of 29 years Wilma, children Vincent and Angela (Jeff), grandchildren Amanda (Kevin), Natasha (Garret), Samantha, Leticia, Jesaiah (Franzi), Danyael (Max), Jonah, Aliya, and Josh as well as great grandchildren Freela, Mateo, Ava, Sophia, Mila, Israel, Nova, and Hosanna.

A Graveside Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Hoadley Cemetery in Alberta on September 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. (9:00 a.m. PST) All are welcome. 

Friends wishing to make a memorial contribution may do so to a local homeless shelter for youth or adults or to your local food bank, as Elvin had a deep love for those who were hungry or without housing.
