Richard William Huber

April 7, 1990 – July 21, 2023

Richard William Huber sadly passed away suddenly at the age of 33 on Friday, July 21, 2023, in Kamloops B.C surrounded by his loved ones. He was a loving son, father, brother, and friend to many.

Richard who was known by friends and family as “Richie” was born on April 07,1990 to Charles William Huber and Susan Lynn Kusnir in the Towson area of Baltimore, MD. Richard was the second born child to Charles and Susan.

Richard attended the private school of St James Regional Grammar School in Penns Grove, New Jersey where he completed 4th grade. During his years in New Jersey, he had a passion for football and baseball. During Richie’s free time you could find him outside playing street hockey, hide and seek tag and building bike jumps or fishing at the VFW. On rainy days you could find him playing Lego’s, video games and drawing.

In 2000 Richard and his family relocated to Creston B.C where he gained another father Ken Kusnir and a little brother Patrick Kusnir. Richard attended Prince Charles Secondary School and graduated in 2008, Richard was very skilled in trades, and you could always find him bringing home projects and most he did finish. Richard would spend a lot of time outdoors camping and spending time with his friends. Shortly after graduation Richard found his true passion on the pipeline. As he gained experience and knowledge in all aspects of the industry, Richard found his true calling as a “Spacer” and was exceptional at it.

In 2015 Richard was blessed with the arrival of his only daughter Adeline Mardella Blake Huber or as he called her, his “Addy Bear”. Adeline was the light of Richards life. When Addy was around, he would be spending every second with her, even if it meant she was going to polish his toes and cover him with make-up or playing barbies and using his Cynthia voice. It didn’t matter to him as long as his Addy was happy and smiling.

Richard recently re-connected with Coralie Heart and was showing everyone her and telling all of us about her. Richard did not get the opportunity to introduce Coralie to his family, but we know he would have shown her off like he always did. Richard re-located to Kamloops, B.C where he began to build his relationship with her and her daughters. He was very excited to introduce his daughter Addy and have her come for a visit, but unfortunately God had other plans.

Richard is survived by his daughter Adeline Mardella Blake Huber, Mom and Dad; Susan and Ken Kusnir, Father; Charles W. Huber III. Brothers; Sean Christopher Slemaker (Jessica) and Patrick Stephen Kusnir, Grandparents; John and Rita Kusnir, Niece; Araiyah Paisley Slemaker, Nephews; Layton Archer Slemaker, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is predeceased by his Grandparents; John and Bertha Slemaker, Grandfather; Charles W. Huber, Aunts; Carolyn V. Downs and L.Catherine Mayne, Uncle; Bruce A. Slemaker, Great Grandmothers; Bertha V. Mather and Anna E. Slemaker, and numerous great Uncles and Aunts.
