Annette was mom to everyone. She was our neighbour for many years and I can still hear her mama voice calling for Jamie and Christine to come home for dinner. I can remember sitting in front of the school board and trustees, presenting some sort of idea we had in high school (I think it was to allow the class of '96 to wear grad caps when our principal refused to let us) -- WIN, we got to wear grad caps! Annette was supportive as she always was. She would "middle name" Jody and he would try to sweet talk his way out of trouble. Sometimes it worked, and sometimes it didn't. Whenever I was a smart-ass, she would call me a brat but only Annette could say that and let us know that meant she loved us. Forever your brat, Annette. I will miss you.

I was so very sad to learn of Annette's passing. I had hoped to see her this year if we were able to come home to Creston for a visit. We went to high school together and I appreciated her friendship.
My mother kept in touch while I was away from Creston and helped us to connect for a good visit one year when I was home with my family. Though we didnt see each other very often over the years, there was a strong bond of love between us.
We were mutually happy to be able to "connect" on
Facebook in later years.
I am so very thankful for her relationship with God and the comfort she found in Him. May God bless you all and comfort you with his great love.

Annette was such a lovely lady. When we would meet she would always ask about our son Brad, a good friend of Shawns since High school . They keep in touch even thought the miles separated them. Annette had a special place in her heart and called him her "Brat"ley. She will be remembered with fond memories

Annette was a good friend and a great neighbour for many years. Whenever she’d call, I say “How are you doing, Annette?” She’d always answer the same way - “Oh, I’m doing”. It always made me smile. We will miss her - a strong and loving lady.

Sending sincere condolences to Annette's family. A school friend from the 60's, we lost touch but reconnected through Facebook's Creston page a few years ago. I will miss her!
