Uncle Bob was my favourite uncle. He was generous, kind, and gentle. I loved visiting and listening to him tell stories about his camping adventures and his world of work.
Uncle Bob adored my aunt Ella - you could see it in his eyes when he looked at her. It was wonderful to hear him speak of his three children with such pride and ongoing support. Uncle Bob was a special man and when he walked into a room we all sensed his presence.
The last time I saw Uncle Bob, was in September 2017 when I was in Creston for my 50th high school reunion, then Covid hit. When I drove up the driveway, Uncle Bob was in his garden tending and pruning his beautiful red roses and greeted me with a very large smile. Thanks for the memories Uncle Bob.
I will miss you. We all will.
Love, Gail Hogarth (nee Buckna)
