Obituary of Lorie Lee Weymer

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lorie Lee Weymer (nee Dobson) on April 1, 2022, at her residence in Erickson, BC at the age of 59 years.

Lorie was born on September 21, 1962, in Iserlohn, Germany to parents Barbara and Ed Dobson.  After a long career in industrial safety, Lorie retired in 2018 to her paradise in Erickson, BC.  She kept herself very busy with her wood carving, metalwork, and numerous other crafts.  Some of her work was displayed and sold at Mountain RV Park and the art gallery in downtown Creston.  Lorie loved to travel and was able to visit the Cook Islands with her husband Charlie and Jamaica with her family, where she jumped off the cliffs at Rick’s Café.  She also visited Mexico and spent 6 months travelling through the USA.

Lorie was predeceased by Eric Skalbeck, Vern Getzinger and Barbara Dobson.

Lorie will be lovingly remembered by her husband Charles Weymer, father Ed Dobson, children Sandra (Jeremy) Skalbeck, Rachel (Matt) Skalbeck, Allison (Kent) Weymer, and Kevin (Blair) Weymer, siblings Melody (Dave) Grove, Kirk Dobson, Jill (Brett) Taylor, and Tracy Dobson, grandchildren Bennett, Charles, Shirley, Pyper, and Nevada, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday June 25, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at her home in Erickson, BC, 4529 Hwy 3.
