Obituary of Thomas Edwin Sawyer

Thomas (Tom) Edwin Sawyer passed away on March 21, 2022, at Creston, BC at the age of 72 years.

Tom was born on March 8, 1950, at Winnipeg, MB to parents Bernice and Alfred Sawyer.  He was a Master Electrician and lived in the Calgary area until 1986. Tom worked for many years in the oil and gas industry in the Arctic and Fort McMurray, and later worked for several companies in Calgary, so he could be close to his family.  Tom retired from Calgary Transit in 2005.  Those who worked with him would say he was a great co-worker and always kept an upbeat attitude in the workplace with his great sense of humour.

Tom met Linda in 1986 and they lived in High River, AB until they moved to the Boswell area in 2007.  They love the community and the wonderful friends that they have and the beautiful view from their home of the Kootenay Lake.

Tom will be lovingly remembered by his wife Linda, children Shannon McKenna and Chad Sawyer, three grandchildren Evan, Aidan, and Allison, stepsons Jerry Howe and Lawrence Howe, five grandsons, as well as many other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday April 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Boswell Community Memorial Hall.
