We first met John when we started a business as a Peterbilt Parts and Service branch. Over the years we have talked and enjoyed visiting with John. We was always there for us and willing to work together to work through the aches and pains of a new business. His love for life made him a special person. He was always there if we wanted to talk, there to help, and at one point even offered to fly here and help us. He was very much appreciated by us and thus words just cannot describe how sorry we are for your loss. His love for his family was always something he talked about, that made him special. That is a rare thing today in this world, so we offer you all our sincere condolences in the loss of your loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Nephew. He was a special man and will be truly missed. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I met John when I joined the 'team' chosen to build a new Wetland Centre, "The Discovery Centre", in 2015. John was a prime contributor to the work that was accomplished during his tenure. He made intelligent and often humourous contributions to our meetings. Johnny was a great source of historical knowledge of the Creston Valley and he shared it with me often while driving and, on one wonderful occasion, by flying over it. He often came to my home office "to get me away from my work", for lunch, or a drive in his convertible and, always, to share stories about his family, especially the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. I came to know Johnny as a capable businessman and a caring family man and community leader. So it is with great sadness that my wife and I offer our condolences to his family and friends. He is missed.

Thanks Johnny for all you did for many persons seeking work, your patience with different characters over the years at the shop and the endless opportunity you extended to many over the years. More than one Creston individual got their start in the Diesel Truck and Trailer industry because of you and your willingness to give them a chance. You made a mark in the employment area of Creston. Keep the nose up and into the wind my friend. On behalf of countless guys and gals whom owe you their thanks for seeing to their training, acquisition of skills and apprentiships. Rest in Peace, John. Rick Sommerfeld.

My sincere condolences to the Huscroft family. I have known John as a member of the Creston Valley Rotary Club, where I was an exchange student in '95-'96. John was a very gentle man with a good sense of humour. He was quite active in the club and therefore for the Creston community.
Rest in peace, John.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. We hope you find comfort and strength in all of your memories!
I will always remember his landings on the Fleck field. He did it with perfection!! Even in windy conditions. And memories of the Lister Picnic plane drop come to mind.
Rest in Peace John
