A lifetime full of them. Simply the greatest father that anyone could ever ask for. Dove into a river in full spring flood when my stupid ass fell in and was getting washed away. I believe I was two or three at the time. A few years later he pushed me out of the car, I swear it's true! Actually I decided to pull the door handle just as we were making a corner at the bottom of the hill heading down to the docks at goose Bay. I grew up with a fishing rod in my hand + fish for supper three nights a week! I still fish to this day. I could sit here and go on for hours about the other 50 plus years. Through the good and the bad he always had my back and I miss him dearly.
Per Ardua ad Astra... Through adversity to the Stars. The motto of the Royal Canadian Air Force and also a fitting testament to the life this man led.
