Thelma Watson (nee Sandness) passed away on January 7, 2022, in Creston, BC at the age of 93 years.

Thelma was born on January 4, 1929, in Yahk, BC, the youngest of seven children born to Magna and Kanut Sandness.  She spent her childhood in Yahk and some of her teen years working in the Creston area.  After her marriage in 1946, she moved to Rossland, BC, where five of her precious children were born.  They moved to Castlegar in 1955, where her sixth child was born.  It was here, she spent most of her life, except for a short stint in Creston, working in Home Care.  As a result of the onset of dementia, and the onset of Covid, she was transferred to Swan Valley Lodge in Creston, where she remained until her passing.

Thelma was predeceased by her daughters Carol and Linda, grandson baby Tom, and grandson Eric.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Margaret (Bob) and Clara (Mario), sons James and George (Donna), as well as 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Her family was very precious to her.

Following cremation, and at a suitable time, the family will gather in her honour.
