The heart of our family, our beloved mother, Muriel Viola Davidson (nee Harrison), a beautiful caring soul has passed from this world peacefully on October 28, 2021, at Swan Valley Lodge, Creston BC at the age of 97 years. Her selfless loving nature endeared her to everyone who knew her.
Muriel was born on February 1, 1924, to parents Elsie and George Harrison. Mom married the love of her life Douglas Davidson after WWII and dedicated her life to him for 52 years. She treasured her children and grandchildren, embracing every moment with them. She encouraged, comforted, and provided for us all. Mom faced hardships and adversity with grace and fortitude. Mom was spiritual, feisty, and strong willed, humorous with a quick wit, compassionate and nurturing, talented and accomplished at whatever she turned her hand to. Mom enjoyed listening to music of all kinds, loved playing the organ and singing. Reading her large collection of books, being outdoors enjoying the beauty of nature. Playing in her garden, growing tomatoes and flowers, visiting and phone calls to family and friends. Throughout her life mom loved to travel, and a trip to Hawaii with two of her daughters was especially memorable and brought her joy. She enjoyed life! Her legacy lives on in her children with memories and love.
Muriel was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Douglas Davidson, brother Earl Harrison, and grandson Wyatt Davidson.
Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children Kathryn Davidson, Kerry (Brett) Pasutti, Kim Niemi, Kandace (Stan) Aylward, Douglas (Jayne) Davidson Jr., Gregory Davidson, and Robert Davidson, sisters Doreen Richardson, Norma Asbury, brother Lawrence Harrison, as well as 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.
