Obituary of Teresa Mae Richardson (nee Thompson)

June 27, 1950, Rossland, BC - July 18, 2021, Wynndel, BC

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Teresa Mae Richardson (nee Thompson), beloved partner of Robert Michael Antifaeff.

Teresa passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at the age of 71 years. Teresa passed with the grace, elegance and courage with which she lived her entire life. The cancer took her body but not her radiant beauty. She died on her own terms, at home, in her own bed, in the arms of her loving family. She is not alone. We are not alone. Her love remains with us all. 

Besides her loving partner, Bob, Teresa is survived by her three children, eldest son, Richard (Elizabeth) Garrett, grandchildren Cameron and Anneka, daughter Leanne Garrett, grandchildren Jakob and Anjralee, youngest son John (Samantha) Garrett, grandchild Jayln and step-daughter Kim (Jeff) Keevil, grandchildren Henry and Eden, Teresa’s oldest sister, Francis Thomson, twin brother Richard Thompson, sister-in-law Carolee Thompson, nieces, Kim Heier, Christie (Sean) Valentine, and Tracey will forever miss their wonderful sister and Aunt. Teresa was loved by many and her loss will be felt immensely by all her family and friends. Love and gratitude for every single family member not mentioned above. 

Teresa did not want a funeral and we will respect that wish. In time we will return her ashes to Rossland B.C. for a private gathering. She will rest easy with her beloved dad and mom, Elmer and Sadie Thompson and sister Diane Horovatin. 

This was a poem mom sent me not long before she passed- (she didn't know who wrote it) 

When I die give what’s left of me to children and old men that wait to die. 

And if you need to cry, cry for your brother walking the street beside you. 

And when you need me, put your arms around anyone and give them what you need to give to me.

Look for me in the people I have known or loved. 

Love doesn't die, people do.
