Obituary of Lynn Johnson

Please share a memory of Lynn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lynnanne (Lynn) Johnson on Sunday June 20, 2021, after a lifelong battle with Lupus at the age of 70 years.

Lynn was born on March 14, 1951, to parents Ailsa and Arthur Greenwood in Edmonton, AB.

Lynn is remembered fondly as an amazing and dedicated teacher by the many colleagues who worked with her along with her former students, some of whom she then went on to teach their children.  Her many friends and acquaintances in the community will miss her pleasant, positive, and selfless efforts.  Lynn was a devoted elementary school teacher her entire career, and outside the classroom, was an avid gardener and quilter who loved every holiday and the decorations that accompanied them.

Lynn will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 50 years, Arnold Johnson, children, Eric, Craig, Kirstin (Cheryl), and Heather, six grandchildren, Micheal, Dominic, Erika, Jo-el, Farrah, and Linden, as well as many nieces, nephews, and their children.

Friends wishing to make a memorial contribution may do so to BC Lupus Society, 210 - 888 W 8th Ave, Vancouver, BC V5Z 3Y1, or make a donation of children’s books to your local elementary school.

The family would like to invite you to come and join them on August 20, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Canyon Park to share our memories of Lynn.
