Obituary of Earl Leslie Clay
Earl Leslie Clay, a devoted husband,father, a proud and loving grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2023, in Creston, BC. He was born on April 20, 1932, in Griffin, Saskatchewan.
Earl is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Donalda (Donna), their daughters Gwen (Gord) Mayer and Diana (Kevin) Friedrich, and his cherished grandchildren Jacqui (Joe), Jeremy (Melissa), Jamison (Cara), Aaron (Denise), and Gregory (Amanda). He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Dylan and Julia, Landon, and Elizabeth and William. Earl is further survived by his sisters-in-law, Laura Clay and Vivian Clay. He was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Matilda Clay, brothers Harry and Neil Clay, sisters Norene Mason and Shirley Geisler, and mother and father-in-law Josie and Russell Wallace.
Throughout his life, Earl was known for his kindness and his ability to make others laugh. His sense of humour and quick wit endeared him to all who knew him, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be cherished by his family and friends. Earl's kind heart was evident in the way he cared for his wife, Donna, and his devotion to his family.
As we remember Earl, let us celebrate his life and the many moments of joy and laughter he shared with us. His unwavering love for his family and his commitment to creating a brighter future for all will be forever etched in our memories. May his kind heart, funny disposition, and warm spirit continue to inspire us to live our lives with love, laughter, and compassion.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday June 12, 2023 at St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church at 11am in Creston, BC.
Interment to take place at a later date at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Creston, BC.
