Charles (Charlie) Lawrence Skocylas passed away on June 15, 2021, in Creston BC at the age of 71 years.
Charlie was born September 1, 1949, in Grandview, Manitoba to parents Peter and Lillian.
He left Manitoba and moved to Edmonton Alberta where he started his career as a Plumber, Gasfitter.
Charlie was an avid golfer and he loved to build and create. His biggest feat was building his house, hammer and nail, in Antler Lake, Alberta.
Charlie and Kelly will be lovingly missed by their little dog Cassie, daughter Peggy Holt, son Sean (Alice) Miller, daughter-in-law Kellie, grandchildren Tanner, Keyra, Tyson and Cohen, Kelly's mother Lois, Kelly's sisters Kim and Alexis, Kelly's brother Eric, Charlie's brothers Ed and Don, Charlie's sister Emily, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Charlie was predeceased by his son Kirk Skocylas and brother Ernie.
Kelly was predeceased by her husband Charles (Charlie) and her stepson Kirk Skocylas.
Kelly Elizabeth Skocylas (nee Watson) passed away suddenly on March 28, 2023, in Creston, BC, at the age of 65 years.
Kelly was born on October 30, 1957, in Hamilton, ON, to Lois and Fred.
Kelly moved to Edmonton, AB, where she worked as an accountant for the Alberta government where she met her husband, Charlie. Upon first sight of Charlie, she joked with a co-worker, “I’m going to marry that man.” Kelly and Charlie married on July 31, 1993. They both enjoyed and early retirement where Kelly picked up her paint brush and pencils and became a talented artist. She was also an avid gardener and had a keen eye for style and design.
