Obituary of Quince Duane Blackmore

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Quince “Quincy” Duane Blackmore on February 20, 2023, in Kingsgate, BC, at the age of 22 years.

Quincy was born on September 7, 2000, in Saanich, BC to parents Suzanna Palmer and Spencer Blackmore. Some of Quincy’s hobbies included Mau Tai, kickboxing, riding horses, hunting, playing with his dog, being in the outdoors, and travelling. In the past year, Quincy visited Australia and Thailand and had plans for more adventures. He had a contagious smile and an infectious laugh, everyone who knew him couldn’t help but love him.

Quincy was predeceased by his infant brother Allister and his older brother Melvin, who was his idol, and very best friend. Quince wanted to be like him in every way.

Quincy will be lovingly remembered by his grandpa Duane Palmer, grandma Susie, mom Suzanna, dad Spencer Blackmore, siblings Nolita Colleen, Katherine, Pearl, Trustin, Rubie, Dean, Tianna, and Lila, niece Karlie, aunt Glo, as well as many many aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, friends, and his dog Lassie who loved him so much.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday February 25, 2023, at the Yahk Community Hall, 8790 Railway Ave., Yahk, BC, V0B 2P0, at 1:00 p.m. There will be a time of remembrance for anyone who would like to share a memory, poem, or song. Following the service there will be a fireside gathering in Lumberton, BC.
