Obituary of Rosemarie Louise MacKinnon Klimek

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my beautiful wife, RoseMarie Louise MacKinnon Klimek, who fought a long battle with aggressive lung cancer since 2014. Rose passed away peacefully on December 5, 2022, at home, in the arms of her husband and dog April, at the age of 65 years.

Rose was born in Mission, BC on November 20, 1957, to parents Mary and Michael Bozek. She grew up in Ruskin and attended school in Maple Ridge. Rose was married and lived in Hammond with her first husband Jay. Together they moved to Creston in 2006 and Jay passed away in 2007.  She met Rick in 2009 and after Rick completed Rose’s apprenticeship program of courting, they were married at Destiny Bay July 26, 2019. Rose was very competitive in shooting, pool, and bowling. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, travelling, her work as a courier, and bartending at the Rotacrest for the senior’s dances. Rose was an excellent cook, very caring, and had an outgoing personality. She enjoyed people and most everyone seemed to know her and love her. She also loved animals, especially her dog April and cat Tara.

Rose was predeceased by her parents Mary and Michael Bozek and first husband Jay.

Rose will be lovingly remembered by her husband Rick, daughter Jessica, son Jason, stepchildren Ela and Ryan (Alisha), foster daughter Amanda “Chic” (Jason), grandchildren Macie, Knox, Wren, Xena, Ryder, and Evelyn.

Rose will be missed by so many. Her ray of sunshine could light up any room.
