Obituary of Theresa Anne Clarke

Terry Clarke passed away in palliative care in Creston Valley Hospital, surrounded by the love of her daughter Erin, and her loving husband Al. She is survived by them as well as her son Stewart, her grandchildren Olivia, Courtney and Ben and many nieces, nephews and other extended family. Terry was predeceased by her dad John, her mom Irene and her sisters Wendy and Sharon. She was loved by her nieces and nephews and grand-niece and grand-nephews as well many extended family.

Theresa (Terry) Anne Clarke (previously Eldridge, nee Stewart) was born in Edmonton on April 12, 1952 to John and Irene Stewart. She lived in various small farming communities around Edmonton such as Wildwood, Styal, Fort Saskatchewan and Horse Hills. The family moved to Edmonton and she graduated and began her work life there. She married Dave Eldridge, had two children, Erin and Stewart and was always a faithful supporter of their sports, driving and cheering on through all their endeavours. Terry was always a hard worker. She worked for Edmonton Telephones (EdTel), AGT and Telus. Finally she worked for Maddocks/TMW Systems from which she retired at age 65. She was an amazing cook, crafter and gardener. In her later years she took up canning and excelled at that as well. She adored her grandbabies and gave them so much love with wonderful grandma activities. They were her pride. In 2013, she married Alan Clarke. They moved to Creston, BC where she finished off her work career and then retired. Terry and Al enjoyed a wonderful 9 years married and 7 years on their property where they enjoyed their fruit trees, the garden, the shop and entertaining visitors over the years, and of course
their dogs Prince and Jessie.

No service will be held. Terry will be cremated and interred in the Airdrie Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jordan and the staff at Creston Valley Hospital, the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, and the Kelowna General Hospital.
