Obituary of Russell Allan Romano

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Russell (Russ) Allan Romano on June 16, 2022, one day shy of his 86^th birthday, in Creston, BC.

Russ was born on June 17, 1936, to parents Louise and Frank Romano in Creston, BC, where he grew up. He married the love of his life, Maxine on November 9, 1956, and together they raised four children, three sons and a daughter. Dad worked many years for the Liquor Control Board in Creston, BC. He spent many winters in Yuma, AZ where he enjoyed gold panning in the desert. Dad was a very handy guy, including woodwork and pouring cement.

Russ was predeceased by his parents Frank and Louise Romano and wife Maxine Romano.

Russ will be lovingly remembered by his four children, Randy Romano and Kimberley, Lane (Colleen) Romano, Todd (Holly) Romano, and Rene (Dan) Listhaeghe, three brothers Art (Doreen) Romano, Grant (Linda) Romano, Clifford (Ginny) Romano, as well as 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service for Maxine and Russell will be held on Saturday July 2, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at the Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Harry Haberstock officiating. Private family interment to take place at Pioneer Cemetery in Creston, BC.

In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to make a memorial contribution may do so to the BC Diabetes Foundation, #4116 – 2775 Laurel Street, Vancouver, BC V5Z 1M9, or to the charity of their choice.
