Joshua Willis

Obituary of Joshua Cole Willis

Please share a memory of Joshua to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

With immense sadness and loss, the family of Joshua announces his passing on June 2, 2022, at the age of 34 years. Joshua will meet in heaven "DoDo" - his grandmother Joey, who he had a special bond with, and his grandfather, Ron. Joshua leaves to mourn his mom, Traci, his two brothers Jory (Jordan) and Lucas, his girlfriend and best friend Jollean, Auntie Pam, Auntie Sharon, Uncle Don and many cousins and friends.

Joshua touched the lives of many people. He was kind, loving, and brave. Joshua succumbed to years of addiction, which led to mental health issues and heart issues. Every effort was given to save Josh, to step in and be his voice, but that was not an option for us. The laws regarding the rights of families of addicts and mentally ill people need to change. We had no power to step in and make life-saving decisions that he was incapable to make which ultimately lead to his death. There should not have to be deaths to get help from our government to change laws.

Joshua was loved so very much and will be greatly missed. We have no words to express the emptiness we feel with this loss.

In lieu of flowers we ask you to donate to Wagner Hills Society in Joshua's name. http://wagnerhills.com/donate " with the notation "Joshua Memorial"

In Joshua's memory, when you see someone struggling on the streets, have no judgment but instead see a struggling person who is worthy and suffering. Someone who has family in great pain who love them dearly.
