Obituary of Richard Donald Woodworth

Richard “Rick” Woodworth passed away peacefully on March 29, 2021 at the Creston Valley Hospital at the age of 77 years.

Rick was born on August 17, 1943 in Wolfville, NS to parents Bertha and Donald Woodworth.  Rick served in the Canadian Armed Forces for six years between 1961 and 1967.  In 1982, he moved to west ArrowCreek, BC and worked as a Journeyman carpenter.  Prior to his retirement, Rick worked as maintenance carpenter at the Creston Valley Hospital.

Rick was an avid sports fan, he really enjoyed cheering on the Calgary Flames.  He also loved fishing, playing poker, and spending time with his best friend Bud.

Rick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Lis, daughters Karen (Brian) Siemens of Calgary, AB, Dawn (Dirk) Embree and Ricki (Shane) Andersen, six grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter as well as his two brothers Ken Woodworth of Kelowna, BC and Ron Woodworth of Nova Scotia.

Rick was predeceased by his daughter Belinda in 1992 and parents Bertha and Donald Woodworth.
